Published November 1st, 2006 in Technology
Wired Digital has just acquired social news aggregator Reddit for an undisclosed sum. Reddit focuses on technology and political stories and recieves about 1 million unique visitors a month, however Wired’s parent company, CondéNet has already leveraged the Reddit engine to build a social aggregator for celebrity Gossip stories, Lipstick.com. It seems likely that they will continue to build more sites based on the engine to break into different niches.
