Google Video tests revenue sharing

Google VideoIn a move to attract more amateur video publishers to it’s service, Google has taken a page out of Revver’s book. Google is now testing revenue sharing with Google Video members. The specific video being tested is the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment. This is definitely a good move, not only because it allows independent videographers to get a piece of the advertising pie for their content, but it also provides an incentive for large media corporations to put their video on the service. It also gives Google an excuse to place commercials in the video and actually turn a profit as well, without annoying it’s userbase.
