Flash Player 9 Linux beta goes live
Published October 18th, 2006 in TechnologyLinux users can now rejoice. Adobe finally got around to releasing a Linux beta of Flash 9. From what I’ve used of it, this beta is more stable than the final release of Flash 7 (which, to be completely honest, isn’t saying much, Flash 7 for Linux is a horribly buggy piece of code). We can finally run Flex applications, Flash 8 applications, and Flash 9 applications. Even more importantly, we can now watch YouTube and Google videos in perfect sync (seriously, there are few things as annoying as having to watch Flash video on Linux). So if you’re a Linux user, what are you waiting for? Go download the beta now.
