HP acquires gaming PC manufacturer VoodooPC

Hot off the heels of Dell’s Alienware acuqisition, HP has decided to join in the overpriced PC manufacturer buying party by taking over VoodooPC. Personally, I think these companies are trying to hard to cater to gamers, a demographic which has never been interested in prebuilt desktop PC solutions. Any gamer worth their salt knows that the most value is in building your own rig. These stupid prebuilt offerings only cater to people with more money than brains, and perhaps those who want to game on laptops (although if you’re going for that you’ll save money buying a MacBook Pro over one of the Alienware of VoodooPC laptops).
