Wii version of Opera free until June 2007
Published September 27th, 2006 in Gaming, TechnologyThe Nintendo Wii version of the Opera browser will be available free for download through the Wii’s shopping channel until June 2007. After that point, it can be purchased for a yet to be disclosed amount of Wii points. The Nintendo Wii version of Opera has the same support for web standards as the desktop version as well as support for Flash and AJAX. It will also make intuitive use of the Wii remote and provide 2 new Wii-exclusive features, Zoom and Bookmarks (I’m assuming this must be different than the Desktop Opera’s bookmarks, maybe it uses one of the Wii channels?) to provide a custom browsing experience for the Wii.

I'm having a problem installing Opera 9.02 on FC5.
Every time I try to run it, it comes back with a “unable to find software information” error.
When I try to run it from the command line, I get 6 conflict errors.
I must add that I already have Opera 8.54 but I close it down before I try and run it.
