How to make hikaru dorodango (shiny balls of mud)
Published August 20th, 2006 in Arts and Entertainment
In Japan, turning mud into these shiny works of art is a major pastime among schoolchildren right now. Now, you can too. From what I read though, these things are a bit more work than they sound (although you probably should expect that considering how good the finished product looks). Maybe when I’m bored one day and have nothing to blog about I might try to make one (and probably fail miserably). Here is a how-to on making these things, as well as a picture gallery for you to peruse through. Enjoy.
