Dell has had several laptop fires dating back to nearly 2 months ago (the first report was on June 21, 2006). However, it wasn’t until today that Dell made a public statement regarding a battery recall. That’s nearly 2 months people have been at risk of their laptops spontaneously combusting with no avenue for repair, or even any warning for that matter (it was all over the blogosphere, but the masses don’t read blogs, so I guess Dell at least has that going for them). For this, we award Dell tonight’s Razor Blade.
