New things happening at Google Video

Google Video has undergone a couple of minor changes today. The larger of the two changes it has gone through is the new Google Video test interface. It looks an awful lot like YouTube, but if you have ever used Google Video you probably agree that this isn’t a bad thing. One of my pet peeves of Google Video is it’s interface, especially that annoyingly large video frame. Also, the other data relating to the video is cramped in a little tiny frame to the right. This new interface update fixes both of those issues, and gets rid of frames entirely. To use it, enter the following into your address bar while you are viewing any video:

javascript:setCookie('np','old');window.location.reload();

Once you’ve done that, simply click on the “Try our new page layout” link.

The second thing that Google Video did today was replace Froogle on the Google home page. This is probably a good idea, since it ties right in with Google Image Search as form of alternate media search.
