YouTube’s tubes are clogged?
Published August 4th, 2006 in TechnologyIt appears that YouTube is currently down. A quick look at YouTube’s front page right now (August 4, 2004 3:20AM GMT-4) displays the following:
We’re currently putting out some new features, sweeping out the cobwebs and zapping a few gremlins.
We’ll be back later. In the meantime, please enjoy a layman’s explanation of our website…
I wonder what these new features could be. Hopefully (at least for the video giant’s financial health anyway) they finally decided to implement some kind of advertising model that would actually make them money, or some kind of premium service.
Update (August 4, 2006 4:00AM GMT-4): The site is back up now. I don’t see any new features or new ads on it though.
