On last night’s Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert had a segment on Wikipedia, in which he made a couple of edits to Wikipedia to point out the potential flaws it has. He went on to talk about Elephant populations (with obviously false data). Then, in his “The Word” segment, in which he discusses the wiki idea applied to reality, “Wikiality”. Anyway, as can be expected, this triggered a bunch of vandals to start defacing the pages mentioned on Wikipedia, and Stephen Colbert’s Wikipedia account was banned as a result.
