Now we have PowerBooks doing it too. The battery recall was issued quite a while ago for iBook G4s and PowerBook G4s, but it appears that people who didn’t heed the warning are now paying the price. Also, there’s a MacBook Pro battery exchange program as well, so if you have one of those it might be a good idea to check that out. A word of advice: If you own a laptop, start checking the manufacturer’s recall program pages frequently. Who knows which company will be next?
